SIR THOMAS SIDEY ILL
OPERATION PERFORMED Special to THE SU2? WELLINGTON, Today. Recently Sir Thomas Sidey entered a private hospital, where he has since undergone an operation.
His condition at first gave cause for some alarm, but it is now stated that he is making satisfactory progress. It is not expected that he will be able to get about for three or four weeks, and during his absence the Hon. R. Masters, DeputyLeader of the Council, will deal with all Government measures which may reach the l>pper House until late next month.
