IMPORTED FRUITS AND PRESERVES SUFFER COMMENT BY MERCHANTS As far as the new tariff decisions affect onions, imported fruits, preserves and condiments, Auckland merchants believe that much benefit will accrue in manufacture and production in New Zealand. The chief complain of fruit and vegetable importers this morning was that they would be temporarily affected to a considerable extent because the new tariffs will be enforced when orders have already been placed overseas.
