A NEW PADDINGTON
Paddington Station, London, is to be reorganised at a cost of £1,000,000. It is expected that the work will occupy two years and employ several thousand men. A letter train service and improved platform accommodation are included in the scheme (says the "Daily Mail”). Platforms will be lengthened to take longer trains, the Great Western Hotel enlarged, and suburban trains will use Bishop’s Road Station instead of Paddington, being then diverted on to the Metropolitan Railway as through trains to the City. City workers will thus be able to travel by through trains.
