SIR ROBERT STOUT’S WORK Appreciation of the services of the late Sir Robert Stout in the interests of the temperance cause was expressed in a resolution carried at a meeting of the Auckland Council of the New Zealand Alliance. It was recalled that Sir Robert had played a prominent part in the early days of the movement, and had been closely associated with Sir William Fox. The council extended its sympathy to Lady Stout.
