Two fine talkies are being shown at the Prince Edward Theatre. The first is “The American Prisoner,” a stirring tale of love and adventure at Dartmoor Prison, during the Napoleonic Wars, adapted from Eden Phillpotts’s novel. Carl Brisson is the star. The second attraction is “No Defence,” a thrilling courtroom drama starring Monte Blue and May McAvoy.
