"LIVING LONDON" AT LONDON
“Diving London,” the current attraction at the London Theatre, is a record of life in the world’s great metropolis. Produced at Elstree, England, it represents a fnost successful attempt to catch the spirit of the changing moods of the Empire's centre. Every aspect of the pulsating life which makes London such an attraction is included in a comprehensive panorama which gives a clear insight into the customs and manners of its people. Magnificent edifices of historical as well as of architectural interest, picturesque nooks that one can hardly imagine exist in the 20th century, and quaint dwellings which retain an old-world appearance are all part of this remarkable picture. The departure of the “Flying Scotsman” on its journey north lends an atmosphere of modernism.
Perhaps the most impressive portion of the film is that part which surveys the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. These wonderful buildings give one a great impression of the solidarity of the Empire. A full talkie supporting programme is also being presented.
