WAIKATO HUNT
MEET AT MORRINSVILLE From Our Own Correspondent MORRINSVILLE, Tuesday. A record number of riders and spectators gathered at Morrinsville for the final meet of the season of the Waikato hounds, as far as that district is concerned. Visitors were present from Cambridge, Hamilton, Matangi and Te Aroha. The weather was not good for hunting, the dry wind making it difficult for the hounds to follow the scent, and as a result there were no good runs, though the hounds worked well. After hunting over Mr. C. Cameron’s property practically all the afternoon, members were entertained at afternoon tea by Mr. J. M. Allen at Annandale. In the evening a successful Hunt Club ball was held in the Masonic Hall. Among those following were:—Mesdames L. H. Earner. T. McMillan, H. McDonald, Gorrie (Auckland), T. Ranstead, W. Ranstead and T. Harper (Matangi), Misses E. Lloyd (Te Kauwhata), E. Clarkin (Eureka), Oliver (Matapgi), B. McNaughton, C. Gaddes, G. Brown, Messrs. J. Hewitt, J. Clark, G. Peak and C. Meredith (Cambridge). A. Johns. P. Clarkin. G. Shaw', H. Clarkin and C. Hinton (Eureka), A. Woods and G. Wyborne (Te Aroha). Joe McNaughton (Rangiriri). J. Ranstead, I. Olliver, E. Coventry and T. Harper (Matangi). IL Russell and O. Shakeshaft (Hamilton) and Messrs. J. N. Allen. O. Glynn, T. McMillan, J. T. Robinson. John McNaughton. J. Knox and W. Mellow.
