AUSTRALIAN CRICKET ENDS IN DRAW GAME IN SCOTLAND Reed. 10.10 a.m. LONDON. Monday. The cricket match, Australia v. West of Scotland, was continued this morning at Glasgow, and drawn. When stumps were drawn on Saturday, West of Scotland had, lost six wickets for 140 runs, Ackroyd (12) being not out. On resuming the local captain declared his side’s innings closed and the Australians hatted. Ponsford and Woodfull opened, and when Ponsford had scored six he was bowled by Baxter. Bradman then joined Woodfull and batting freely quickly made runs. At the luncheon adjournment, Bradman had more than doubled Woodfull’s total. His batting delighted the 5,000 spectators who were present The bowling was sadly deficient in length. The pair added 198 for tlie second wicket, giving the fieldsmen a lively time. Jackson and A’Beckett added 77 for the sixth wicket, hut otherwise the batsmen shaped badly. As the match was limited to two days, it ended in a draw. The scores are: W-EST OF SCOTLAND First Innings.
