MUSIC AND DANCING PASSES PLEASANT EVENING

A most enjoyable social was given by the Auckland Cornish Association, in the honour of Mr. Roy Jennings, the Cornish member of the visiting British Rugby team, in the Unity Hall, Upper Queen Street, on Saturday evening. The Cornish anthem, “Trelawney,” was sung and musical items were given bw the Misses M. and K. Kendall, Messrs. Fort, R. Errington and J. Rowe. Among those present were: Mrs. L. Jackson, white and silver beaded georgette: Airs. G. Love, nattier blue crepe de chine; Mrs. R. W. Saundercock. fawn niarocain; Airs. T. Clarke, black crepe do chine and georgette; Mrs. Herbert Chalmers, coffee lace; Airs. D. Roberts, silver and lemon net; Airs. E. Bowles, iloral chiffon; Mrs. C: James, shell pink georgette; Airs. Norton, hand-painted beige crepe marocain. Mrs. W. Hughes, in navy blue georgette and lace; Airs. W. H. Webber, vieux rose georgette; Mrs. J. S. Stephens, brown crepe de chine; Miss R. B.
