BISCA TO SAIL.— The Norwegian tanker Bisea, under charter to the Atlantic Union Oil Company, is expected to sail p.m. today for Sydney to complete discharge.
COLUMBIA DUE FRIDAY.— The Danish motor-ship Columbia is expected to arrive f in port on Friday to complete, discharge of her cargo of jamah sleepers from Buiibury to the agency of Russell and Somers.
THE PORT ALMA.— Heather, Roberton, Limited, advises that the Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor-ship Port Alma is scheduled to arrive from London on August 9. Her cargo will be discharged at Auckland, Wellington and Napier.
WAIPAHI SAILS THURSDAY.—The Union Company advises that its Island fruit steamer Waipahi is to be dispatched at noon on Thursday for the Cook Islands to load another cargo of fruit for New Zealand. The vessel also takes general cargo and stores for discharge there. Her ports of call in order will be Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Atiu and Mauke.
ULIMAROA AT WELLINGTON. —The Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa arrived at Wellington this morning from Sydney with passengers, mails and cargo. The vessel, which provides the only passenger connection with Sydney this week, is to sail again from Wellington at noon on Friday on her return trip to Sydney.
WIRELESS FROM CORINTHIC. —L. D. Nathan. Ltd., has received a wireless message from the White Star liner Corinthic, on route from London and Southampton to Wellington, stating that she expects to arrive sit the capital at noon on Wednesday, July 30. The vessel has passengers und mails for New Zealand and a cargo of general merchandise for discharge at Wellington and Auckland.
CLYDEBANK REPORTS AGAIN. —A further wireless message received by A. S. Paterson and. Company, Limited, from the motor-ship Clydebank states that she now expects to arrive in the stream here from Galveston (Texas) at daybreak on Friday. The vessel has a full cargo of sulphur for discharge at. Auckland, Port Chalmers, Wanganui, Sydney and Geelong.
CRENATULA SOLD.— The tanker Crenatula, which left Wellington yesterday for Balik Papan, after having completed discharge of her bulk motor-spirit for the Shell Company, is reported to have been sold to H. Rich Aoss, Oslo, for about X 65,000, on terms combined with a time charter for seven years at 5/9. The Crenatula was built in 1918 by W. Gray and Co., West Hartlepool, and was owned by the Anglo-Colonial Shipping Company, Ltd., Cardiff. She has a gross tonnage of 5,563.
PAKIPAKI DUE TOMORROW.—According to her latest radio advice, the Federal steamer Pakipaki is due in port p.m. tomorrow from Liverpool with a cargo of general merchandise from West Coast United Kingdom ports. The vessel has been allotted a berth at Queen’s Wharf, where she will put out the local consignment of her cargo to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company before proceeding to Xapier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Timaru to complete discharge. ROTORU A AT WELLINGTON.— To complete discharge of her London cargo, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rotorua arrived at Wellington on Saturday morning from Auckland. She is to leave again next Saturday for Bluff to commence her homeward loading. The vessel will subsequently load at Port Chalmers, Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. She is due back at "Wellington on August 13. and is scheduled to clear that port finally on August 16 for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal.
CITY OF KHARTOUM REPORTS.— The New Zealand Shipping Company has roeeived a wireles message from the 151lerman and Bueknall steamer City of Khartoum, inward bound front New York, stating that she expects to reach this port on Thursday evening. The vessel has a cargo of general Eastern American merchandise, the local portion of which will be unloaded at Prince’s Wharf. The City of Khartoum, which is running under charter to the A. and A. Line, will later sail for Wellington. Lvttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Sydney* to put out the remainder of her cargo. THE RUNIC. —Mr. Andrew Jahre, of Sanderf jord, Norway, who recentlv bought the White Star liner Runic for the purpose of converting her into a whaling- factory ship, is now reported to have sold her, together with six chasers being built by Smith’s Dock Company to Messrs, Waalman and Bugge, Torsberg. The Runic is to be converted into a whale-oil factory by the Germania Werft, Kiel, and it is said to be the intention of her new owners to run her under the British flag - , when her registered owners will be the Sevilla Whaling Co., Ltd.. London. Mr. .Tahro has decided to acquire in the place of the Runic a vessel «>f 13,i>00 tons, built in 1913, and possessing about 130.000 cubic feet more insulated capacity than the White Star vessel.
MAHANA LEAVES COLON.—Cabled advice has been received by the Shaw Savill Company that the Mahana cleared Colon on July 16. She left Auckland on June 25 for Halifax and London.
HUNTINGDON REPORTED.—The New Zealand Shipping Company has received advice that the Federal Line steamer Huntingdon, which left Auckland for London, via New York and Halifax, on June 18, cleared Caracas Bay on July 15. THE TUTANEKAI.—The Government steamer Tutanekai left port yesterdav morning to attend the beacons and lights in the Hauraki Gulf. The vessel will return about Friday and after loadimr stores she is to sail for Northern and West Coast lighthouses next Tuesday. PORT ADELAIDE AND PORT HUON. —The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Adelaide and the company’s motor-ship Port Huon are reported *t • have reached London from New Zealand on Sunday. Both vessels were dispatched from AVellington, the Port Adelaide on Juno 12 and the Port Huon on June 11.
THE GOLDEN CROSS.— To continue loading for New Zealand, the American steamer Golden Cross left Vancouver for San Francisco and Los Angeles on Sunday. The vessel is scheduled to clear Los Angeles on August 1 for Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on August 27.
THE WAIKAWA.— The Union Company advises that the tran-Paciflc steamer Waikawa is scheduled to clear Los Angeles next Friday with cargo from Pacific Coast ports for discharge at Napier, Wellington, New Plymouth, Nelson. Lyttelton and Bluff. She is due at Napier on August 19.
THE HENZADA.— Under charter to the Commonwealth and Dominion Line, the Henzada is scheduled to reach Auckland from New York on July 29. The vessel has a general merchandise cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company is the local agent.
THE ARGYLLSHIRE.— Now discharging and loading at New Plymouth, the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Argyllshire will continue loading at Wanganui. Timaru. Lyttelton. Wellington, Napier. Gisborne, Tokomaru Hay and Auckland. The vessel is scheduled to reach Auckland on August 21 and to sail for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain on August 23.
THE CANADIAN CHALLENGER— The Canadian National steamer Canadian Challenger is expected to leave Lyttelton for Timaru and Dunedin today to complete discharge and to continue loading. The vessel is scheduled to rea« h Wellington on July 3o for further loading und she is to be dispatched from Auckland for New York, Boston and Montreal on August 3.
THE PORT FREMANTLE. —The C. and D Line advises that the motor-ship Port Fremantle is now due at Wellington tomorrow from New P ymouth for further loading. is to le?ve again on Thursday for Gisborne and Auckland to fill up, is due at Auckland on Sunday, and is scheduled to clear this port on July 31 for London via the Panama Canal. Her local agent is the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company.
SALE OF CANADIAN VESSELS. —The single-deck steamers Canadian Trooper, 3,180 tons gross, 1,953 tons net. carrying about 4,400 tons dead-weight, built amj engined by the Wallace Shipyards. Van-
couver, in 1919, s.s. No. 2 in 1027, with engines 25in, 41 in and 67in. by 45in stroke; and Canadian Voyageur, 3.099 tons gross. 1,868 tons net. carrying about 4.400 tons dead-weight, built by Canadian Vickers, Montreal, in 1919. s.s. No. 2 in 1925. with engines 25in, 41in and 67in, by 45in stroke, by Messrs. Goldie and McCulloch, and both managed by Canadian National Steamships, Ltd.. Montreal, have been sold to Messrs. Lars MaeJand and Company, llaugesund. INTERCOLONIAL CARGO STEAMERS. —The following are the movements of Union Company vessels in its intercolonial cargo service:— 2’hg, Gabriella, from Newcastle and Sydney, is due at New Plymouth «*n Thursday and later proceeds to Wanganui and Grey mouth. The Kaiwarra, from Newcastle. via Picton and Nelson, arrived at Wellington on Sunday. On completion of discharge she will return to Newcastle. The Kalingo is to leave Napier today for Newcastle and Coff's Harbour to load for Lyttelton. Timaru, Wanganui and Greymouth. The Kamona arrived at Wellington on Saturday from Newcastle, and later proceeds to Gisborne to complete discharge. The Karetu is to leave Lyttelton today for Sydney and Newcastle to load for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Oamaru and Bluff. The Kartigi is to leave Greymouth today for Melbourne, thence to Devonnort and Auckland. The Kiwitea. from Adelaide. Edithburg, Wallaroo and Melbourne, is due at Auckland toward the end of this week, and later proceeds to Portland, New Plymouth. Wellington, Lyttelton and Tim .ru to complete discharge. The Kurow, from Newcastle, is to clear Port Stephens today and Sydney tomorrow for Auckland. The Omana is due at Newcastle tomorrow, loads there, and completes at Sydney for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton and Tiniaru. The Poolta is to leave Greymouth today for Brisbane, thence to Grafton. Port.
