RUGBY UNION’S PROTEST Press Association ASHBURTON. Today. The Ashburton Rugby Union has decided to write to the New Zealand Union taking strong exception to the remarks made by Dr. G J. Adams is reference to the Timam match, and that Dr. Adams, in justice to local players, be asked to make definite charges against them and to be prepared either to substantiate them or unreservedly withdraw. The union desired to know wh«i e Dr. Adams got the information that a certain Ashburton player should not have been allowed to take part in the match.

EXHIBITION GAME WANTED />©»* Our Oym Corresponds n.t ROTORUA. Today. The British footballer?* arrived in Rotorua on Sunday afternoon and went to their hotel at Wliakarewarewa. Yesterday they went to the Rotorua High and Grammar School, and did some useful training on the college ground. It is hoped than an exhibition match will be played in Rotorua against a., local team, probably being reinforced by British players. A round of entertainment is provided for the visitors, including a ball on Wednesday evening.
