SPRING LAMBS APPEAR

ARRIVALS IN WAIKATO DOGS CAUSE DAMAGE From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Monday. One of the first signs of spring is the approach of the lambing season. Already there have been many arrivals in the Waikato and at the Kuakura ►State Farm early lambs are expected to come in fully within ten days. Unfortunately the ravages of dogs among young.lambs are already manifest. Two valuable stud Southdown lambs were destroyed by dogs at Ruakura last week, and private owners report several losses as the result of the activities of marauding dogs, mostly of the mongrel variety. In order to minimise loss to sheepfarmers, owners of dogs are strongly urged to keep them under proper control.
