AUCKLANDERS FOR BRISBANE Mr. G. Baildon, Mayor of Auckland, and Mr. JC. J. Phelan, members of the Transport Board, Avill shortly make a visit to Brisbane to attend a conference of public transport authorities from all parts of Australia and NeAA r Zealand. They aaull bo accompanied by the manager, Mr. A. E. Ford. It is likely that the delegates A\-ill leave for Sydney by the Maunganui on August 1, and they are expected to be absent for at least three AV’eeks. In Mr. Baildon’s absence his duties will ho undertaken by the deputy-mayor. Mr. A. J. Entrican. The chairman of tho Transport Board, Mr. J. A. C. Allum, is unable to make the trip.
