U.S.A. PRODUCERS ASK FOR SHARE IN SUPPLIES MEAT AND BUTTER FROM N.Z. WASHINGTON, Saturday. The President, Mr. Hoover, has appointed a committee to investigate the amount of foodstuffs now purchased by the Army and Navy outside America. Beef, beans, corn and dairy products are obtained from New Zealand and Australia for the troops in Hawaii, the Philippines and the canal zone. The committee was set up as a result of complaints by cattlemen and other producers that the surplus of these goods in the U uited States kept prices at low levels • ■ ” -'
