WRONG USE OF TITLES An authoritative statement on the correct procedure for quoting the opinions of judges, who have been knighted, was made by the Chi*f Justice, in the Supreme Court this morning, when ho corrected counsel, who offered the opinion of the late “Sir John Salmond.” “It is not Sir John Salmond/* observed the Chief Justice. “If you are speaking of him as a judge, he is ‘Mr. Justice Salmond,* but if you are speaking of him as an author he is ‘Mr. Justice Salmond’ or ‘Sir John Salmond,* which ever you like."
