TYPHOON AND FLOODS
DISASTER SWEEPS BIG AREAS IN JAPAN LANDSLIDE KILLS 50 United P.A. —By Telegraph—Copyright Reed. 11.50 a.m. TOKYO, Friday. The most severe typhoon for a decade swept Kyushiu this morning. Communications were disrupted, and it is believed tremendous damage has been done and a heavy death-roll re corded. The typhoon is proceeding to Korea, where the devastating floods continued. A village was buried in a landslide and 50 persons were killed, thus adding to the already enormous losses of life and property.
