HECTIC WORK AMONG THE FORWARDS.—A grim struggle between the rival packs for possession in the Britain v. Auckland match at Eden Park this afternoon. A. Knight has attempted to break through, but has lost possession, although a British forward is still hanging round his neck. Hodgson is coming into the ruck on the left and Martindale is back-on to the serum. Corner, the diminutive Auckland half, is waiting for the ball behind his forwards, but Dai Parker is low down at the back of the scrum endeavouring to prevent the ball going out to Corner.
