TWO MAIDS IN BLUE AND PEACH PINK SATIN GOWNS

TAYLOR—BLAKEY

At the Pitt Street Methodist Church on Wednesday afternoon, the marriage was celebrated of Clare, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Blakey, of Dignan Road, Point Chevalier, and William Edgar, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Hill Taylor, of Te Kopuru, Northern Wairoa. The Rev. Angus Mcßean performed the ceremony. Given away by her father, the bride wore a frock of ivory georgette fashioned with a flared skirt, which fell to the ankles, the hem being finished with bunches of grapes embroidered In gold. She wore a veil of embroidered tulle arranged on the head with a coronet of orange blossom and carried a sheaf of Iceland poppies. The bride was attended by two maids, Miss Phyllis Blakey and Miss Vera Taylor, who wore frocks of powder blue and peach satin respectively, with long flared skirts and narrow bands of silver ribbon at the waistline. They wore wide-brimmed felt hats, bordered with tulle and swathed with satin ribbon and they carried bouquets to match their frocks. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Harold Taylor as best man, and Mr. George Blakey as groomsman.
