WITH GRAVE SUSPICION

A VICTORIAN INQUIRY At the V.R.C. offices in Melbourne recently the stipendiary stewards resumed their Inquiry into the apparent reversal of form of Adit, ridden by D. M. Glennon, in the Bolinda Steeplechase at Moonee Valley on July 2. as compared with his showing in the Dingley Steeplechase on the same course a week previously. After evidence had been given by Messrs. H. Morris and M. Mullins, owners of the gelding, though not present at the race meeting. the stewards exonerated them fully. In regard to C. Quinn, the trainer, and D M. Glennon, the rider, the stewards decided not to take any action. They intimated that they viewed the performance of Adit in the Dingley Steeplechase on June 5 with grave suspicion.
