Special to THE SUN DUNEDIN, Today.

In the past week or so, the volume of water in the Kawarau and the Shotover Rivers has been the lowest on record, and nothing has been done toward organised work on any of the claims. Small parties have gathered quantities from sdwt. to half an ounce daily.

At the Cornish Point Mine, development work is proceeding, and the deepest point apparently has not yet been reached. A large body of wash is in view.
