Mr. E. J. Ttiddiford. vice-president of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society, lias forwarded six well-grown cock pheasants to the Taumarunui Rod and Gun Club for liberation in the district. * * * The Director of Town Planning has informed the Ohura County Council that the Town Planning Board will recommend the establishment of a separate region for the King Country, including the major portion of the Ohura County. s= * * Tho director of the division of dental hygiene has advised the Taumarunui Dental Clinic Committee to undertake the provision of a B type clinic, owing to the growth of the work in the area. The cost would be £260. the local committee to find one-third. In connection with a proposed new water supply for the Taumarunui borough, Mr. J. Boyd, medical officer of health, Auckland, has advised the borough council that the pathological examinatin of the Wanganui River water is satisfactory, combined with modern treatment.
