COUNTRY PARTY ACTIVE A candidate to content the Rotorua seat in the interests of the New Zealand Country Political Party is to stand at the next general election, according to a decision of a conference of supporters held at Putaruru on Saturday, July 12. In reviewing the work of the league, the president, Mr. W. H. Allen, said that a pleasing feature of its activities was the number of new members joining its ranks. Offers of support were coming in from all parts of the electorate. The conference passed a vote of thanks to Mr. 11. M. Rush worth, M.P. for his work in Parliament and expressed confidence in him as leader of the party.
