SUNSHINE SCHOOL VISITED BY “EVER READY” COMMITTEE
PARTY FROM VICTORIA LEAGUE SEES CHILDREN AT WORK A party of women representing the “Ever Ready” Committee of the Victoria League, under the leadership of Mrs. J. B. MacFarlane, visited the Sunshine School this week. They saw the children at work, inspected the solarium and rest rooms and expressed great admiration of the work. They brought with them n supply of fruit, and before leaving presented each child with a gift of fruit. The party was afterward shown over the whole building and saw the rooms used by the Community Club children at night. They stated that they thought a wonderful work was being carried out. At morning tea, Mrs. Miller, who acted as hostess, expressed her disappointment that the president was unable to be present owing to illhealth. but she had sent them her cordial greetings and good wishes. Those present were: Mrs. J. B. MacFarlane, Mrs. Carr-Smith, Mrs. Cerutty, Mrs. Angwin, Mrs. Charlton, Miss Shutes and Miss Seideberg.
