PLACATING THE LANDLADY “BAXTER’S” USEFUL Most people who are unable to possess a house of their own, would be able to tell of troubles and trials connected with landladies. While most of them have their good points, some of them are really “snags.” An amusing incident occurred the other night when two young fellows were walking home after work. “Just a minute, Hob,” said one, “while I pop into the chemist’s and buy a bottle of Baxter’s Bung Preserver.
