NEW PRIMARY ROOM

OPENING AT TAKAPUNA A large number o£ church member* and friends attended the opening of the new primary room at St. George's Presbyterian Church, Takapuna, on Saturday. The room was built entirely by voluntary labour by members, and funds for materials were obtained by donations and by a fair held recently. Special fittings and chairs for the small children have been provided, and blend with the harmonious colour scheme. The minister, the Rev. Morgan Richards, was in the chair at the official opening ceremony, when an address on youth work was given by the Rev. J. A. Thompson, moderator of the Auckland Presbytery. Afternoon tea was served by the Women’s Society. Yesterday morning the Girl Guides of the district attended a church parade at St. George’s, a special address being given.
