FAREWELL PRESENTATION

MT. ALBERT’S DRAUGHTSMAN The chief draughtsman and surveyor of the Mount Albert Borough Council, Mr. D. S. Hyauiason. was presented with a handsome set of drawing scales at a farewell social on Friday evening. * He is to leave this week for Sydney, en route to London, where he is to take specialist courses in the study of highway engineering, and town planning under the guidance of Mr. W. Davidge. his uncle, who is a wellknown town-planning consultant. During the past four years Mr. Hyauiason has been engaged upon important work in connection with the roading and drainage schemes which were put into operation when the ratepayers authorised a £750.000 loan in 1926.
