STOLE IGNITION KEY
YOUTH GETS THREE MONTHS For stealing the ignition key from i motor-car at the corner of Fort and Gore Streets yesterday, Edward Henry Leadham Quintal, who had a number of previous convictions for similar offences, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the Police Court today. Quintal, a motor-driver, aged 24, pleaded not guilty to a further charge of converting a motor-car to his own use. Walter Harold Hislop said he parked his car in Fort Street at 12.45 p.m. yesterday. When he returned he found that the ignition key was missing. Constable O'Sullivan said that as a result of information received he arrested Quintal, who had been loitering around the car. Quintal admitted taking the key. In reply to Mr. Hunt, Quintal said he did not know what he was doing with the key. Sub-Inspector Shanahan said Quintal had a long list of previous convicrions for similar offences.
