Returned Soldiers to Wait in Queue
TICKETS FOR RUGBY TWENTY MEN ENGAGED More than 20 out-of-work returned soldiers have been engaged to stand in a queque to purchase tickets when the booking office for the New Zealand v. England Rugby match opens on Monday morning. fpHE Returned Soldiers’ Association has been inundated with applications lor men to stand in the queque, Mr. E. H. Sharp. ,'ie secretary ot the association, said %is morning. More than 20 men had been engaged today. They will take up their places in the queque at 4 o'clock on Sunday afternoon, and will wait through the night for the opening of the box office on Monday morning. The men will charge an extra 5s on each ticket they purchase and in all probability there will be a small tip. For instance If a man is asked to buy six tickets he will make 30s. for his night’s vigil. Mr. Sharp explained that the Returned Soldiers' Association is not buying any tickets with the object of speculating on them. It is simply finding the men required by those who do not wish to wait all night in a queque.
