The monthly meeting of the North- • coto "Women's Progressive League was held in the Parish Hall, Xorthcote, on Thursday. Mrs. D. P. O'Leary*, president, pre- ( sided over a large attendance of members. The Rev. Monckton, in an address to the members, chose for his subject. “The Children of the "World,” and a: splendid fund of ideas and thought on ! . the subject was conveyed by the j speaker to those present. Mrs. Swinbank gave an address on * the work being performed by the XaL tional Council of Women. Appreciation < was expressed by the president on behalf" of the league for the generous : , donation of goods to the league by the ' ■ Commercial Travellers’ Association, i These goods will be distributed by the * league to necessitous cases in the i borough. j
