ENTRIES HEAVY
SCHOOL COMPETITIONS The contests open to primary school pupils drew some of the heaviest entries in the show. In the Standard V. map-drawing class alone there were S 8 entries. In many of the exhibits the children showed remarkable proficiency. City schools won most of the awards, outstanding successes being St. Joseph’s Convent, Onehunga, the Maungawhau School and the Parnell School.
