ASHBURTON’S SYMPATHY Press Association ASHBURTON, Today.

Business was suspended for half an hour as a tribute to the memory of Sir Joseph Ward as the train passed through the borough. The Mayor, county chairman, and councillors offered the sympathy of the borough and county to the members of the family. Hir Cyril Ward acknowledging those expressions. Wreaths from both the local bodies and the post office were handed over. There was a large gathering of the public to pay their respects.
