BAPTIST CELEBRATIONS

A report on the progress made toward the celebrations of the jubilee services to be held at the Baptist Tabernacle was made by Mr. F. Gaze to a meeting of the Auckland Auxiliary of the Baptist Union. The celebrations would last for a week or 10 days, and would include the presentation of the history of the growth, development and spread of the Baptist churches in the province. Reports of the work of the Home Missions’ Committee and the Foreign Missions’ Committee were received, and it was stated that the finances were satisfactory. A social service committee was set up to deal with problems of a social nature, Mr. T. Whitton being appointojh convener. -AfrJfr
