MOUNT ALBERT FIRE
FIVE-ROOMED HOUSE GUTTED A five-roomed wooden house in Marlborough Street, Mount Albert, was completely gutted by fire early this morning. The Mount. Albert Fire Brigade was called at 1.10 o'clock, but the flames had a strong hold by that time, and a fresh breeze hastened the destruction. The building was owned by Mr. T. Mason, and occupied by Mrs. C. McLaren. The insurance on the house amounts to £ SOO, in the South British Office, and the furniture was insured for £3OO with the Home Builders’ Company.
