AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. FEATURES At IYA this evening, the very popular New Zealand Four will make a welcome reappearance in quartets, duets and solos. Two new artists will appear on this evening’s programme, Miss Moira and Betty Tinline, who will give a number o£ pianoforte duos, a class of item which is very seldom heard on the air. Bloy’s Banjo Band, one of the finest combinations in the whole of Australasia, will make one of its rare appearances at 3YA. In the 20 minutes during which the band will “hold the mike” its items will comprise “Torchlight parade,” Welsh songs, Maori songs and popular choruses. An interesting item on 4YA’s programme will be a half hour’s debate on the Question, "Is the Modern Girl Decadent?” Members of the Otago University Debating Society will discuss the matter. A concert arranged bj- the Royal Apollo Club from the Conservatorium of Music will be a feature of the programme from 2FC, Sydney, tonight. At 10.2 p.m. New Zealand time, the comedy, “That Terrible Woman,” will be broadcast from 288. Dance music will form the major portion of the programme from 4QG Brisbane tonight. * * * On lYA’s programme tomorrow evening there will appear a new orchestral combination, Roy Brinsden and his Royal Squadron Syncopaters. Mr. Brinsden has had extensive experience in orchestral work both in Australia and New Zealand. Another new artist to perform will be Mrs. E. Hines, soprano. The Bohemian Duo will give a number of the latest hits and a new combination, “The Sunshine Duo,” Will appear in vocal and instrumental items. The 2YA concert will be given by the Wellington City Silver Band, assisted by 2YA artists. The band, will play as its opening number the march “Galvini,” by the Australian composer Littagow. A charming programme will be presented by Miss Frances Hamerton’s Melodious Four at 3YA. The concerted numbers will be Bantock’s “On Himalaya,” “Thomas and Annis,” “The White Paternoster” and “Wings of the Sweet Springtime.” Tomorrow evening, as its feature. 2FC will present from the Little Theatre the comedy, “The Broken Wing,” which will also be relayed through 3LO and 4QG. The appearance of the Sydney Madrigal Society from 2BL will bo welcomed by those to whom choral work apneals.

On Friday evening the Orchestra Octet, under the direction of Mr. Eri

’ Waters, will appear at IYA in a number of delightful items. The 2YA concert programme will serve to introduce to listeners a new combination of entertainers, the Ar cadians* Musical Comedy Company, the members of which have been, in the main, recruited from tlie Dennis Operatic Society. During the action of the play several numbers from musical comedies will be sung by the principals and the chorus. It is. interesting to note that the whole of the dialogue is original, having been written by a member of the company. Miss Nellie Lowe. Mr. Douglas Suckling and M. A. G. Thompson will be the vocalists at 3YA, when the programme will be of a popular nature. The concert programme at 4YA will be contributed by Miss F. Sumner (soprano), Mrs. A. H. Ritchie (contralto), Mr. E. W. Robbins (.tenor), Mr. C. S. Hawes (baritone). Miss Feimie Marshall (elocutioniste), Mrs.
