BRIDAL GOWN OF SATIN AND HEIRLOOM LACE

MAUNU WEDDING STIFFE—DOREHILL A wedding of interest was cele'brated at Maunu Church on Tuesday last, when Margaret Geraldine, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 1,. H. Doreliill, of Horahora Cottage, Maunu Bay, was married to John Edwin, elder son of Mrs. Stiffe, of Purua and the lute Mr. C. E. Stiffe, of Cornwall, England. The officiating clergyman Mas the Rev. H. T. Steele, vicar of Christ Church, "Whangarei, and Mrs. Armstrong presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by Her father, was Handsomely gowned in ivory celanese satin, with uneven hemline, draped with exquisite ojd limerick iace, which was an heirloom. Her long tulle veil was caught with orange blossoms and she carried a shower bouquet of white rosebuds, daphne, cyclamen and maidenhair fern, tied with a tulle veil and sat in streamers. The bridesmaids were Miss Molly Dorehill, sister of the bride, and Miss Jean Stiffe, sister of the bridegroom. They were dressed alike in deep salmon pink crepe de chine with uneven hemline, trimmed with sunset lace. They wore picture hats to tone, and carried bouquets ol* gladioli, cyclamen, toses, Iceland poppies and maidenhair fern, tied with tulle bows. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. Guy Stiffe. After the ceremony a reception was heid at the home of the bride’s parents. where Mrs. Dorehill received her guests in a navy blue crepe de chine frock trimmed with cream georgette, and a black satin hat. Tier bouquet was of red roses and carnations. The bridegroom’s mother wore a grey silk marocain gown with grey furs and grey hat. She carried a bouquet of mauve iris and anemones tied with gold streamers. The bride travelled in a brown velour coat with fur collar and cuffs, and a brown hat to tone.
