SYNOD OPENS
BUSINESS STARTS TODAY From, Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Monday. The Waikato Diocesan Synod was >pened by the Vicar-General, Archdeacon Gordon Bell, in St. Peter’s Cathe- , dral, Hamilton, this evening:. About 80 clergymen and laymen answered the roll-call, while there was a. large congregation. The charge was then read by the Vicar-General.
Holy Communion will be celebrated in the cathedral tomorrow morning, and the first sitting of synod will be held in '.he afternoon.
