TRIAL ROUTE WANTED

CONTEST FOR PASCOE CUP With the intention of finding a suitable clay road surface near Bombay over which the week-end reliability trial for the Pascoe Cup can be run in August, nine members of the Sports Club left town about 10.30 a.m. yesterday. Heavy rain unfortunately fell shortly before midday and the roads were almost impassable for the six riders who eventually reached the Razorback. The route has not yet been decided for this test, but will probably lead across the Hauraki Plains and through the Waikato, about 250 miles in all. Clay sections will play a prominent part in separating leaders in points if weather conditions do not improve. The next club fixture is the whitewash trail, to be run on Sunday. Riders will leave Messrs, de Luen and Hardley’s service station at 4G5, Manukau Road, fipsom, at 10 a.m.
