TRANSPORT BOARD TRIBUTE

Tribute to the late Sir Joseph Ward was made at this morning's meeting of the Auckland Transport Board. In moving a vote of condolence with Sir Joseph’s relatives, the chairman, Mr. J. A. C. Allum, mentioned that the former Prime Minister had had a very long and eventful career. The board passed the resolution, members standing in silence for a moment.
