LONDON THEATRE

“Blackmail.” the British picture at the London Theatre, is a splendid production of the English studios, and the action of the censor in banning it in some States of the Commonwealth was widely criticised. The general opinion was that the film was of unusual merit. Directed by Alfred Hitchcock, the film is notable for the dramatic force of the acting, the tense action of the .story, and the high artistic value of the photography and sound recording. Included in the supporting programme is a Dickens sketch by Mr. Bransby Williams.
