McCONACHY AND O’DONOGHUE Clark McConachy, the New Zealand billiard player, who recently returned to tho Dominion after a series of engagements in England, yesterday commenced a time limit match of 14 days with tho Auckland billiard player, E. J. O’Donoghue. McConachy certainly showed that he is a real master of the his breaks yesterday being 413, 316, 276, 207, 290, 131 and 103. O’Donoghue’s breaks were: 46, 44, 51, 38, 39, 43, 44. 109, 60, 44, 87, 43, 40. 45 and 44. McConachy is conceding O’Donoghue 40,000 on the fortnight’s play. At the end of p’ay yesterday the scores were: McConachy, 3,360; O’Donohue (receives 40.000), 41,395. Play will be continued daily in three sessions, 12-2. 3-5, and 8-10.
