The captain of the AngloWclsh team, A. F. Harding, subsequently settled in New Zealand. He is at present farming at Taihapc. The British team’s victory over the All Blacks at Dunedin was the first ever secured by a British touring side in the Dominion against the full strength of New Zealand. The match against a combined team comprising South Cantej-bury, Ashburton and North Otago was the roughest of the tour to date. Three of the British were cautioned an«l one of them is said to have been ordered off, but the intervention of two South Canterbury players averted an awkward situation. Mark Nicholls has easily the longest playing record of the All Blacks. He first represented New Zealand against the Springboks in 1921 at the age of 21. Lucas first wore the All Black jersey 5u 1923. He is 28 years of age. The Anglo-Welsh team of 190 S played 17 matches in New Zealand. It won 9, lost 7, and drew one.
