SWIMMING DISPUTE

PARKS COMMITTEE TO MEET FOR INQUIRY A special meeting of the City Council’s Parks Committee will be held on Monday evening to inquire into the swimming dispute involving several parties. Thu Waitemata Amateur Swimming Club, which has asked the council to grant solo rights to teach and coach in swimming at the Tepid Baths to Mr. D. B. Anderson and has opposed -Mr. Malcolm Champion’s appointment as baths supervisor, will bo asked to attend before the committee. Mr. Anderson and Mr. Champion, beside representatives of other swimming organisations, will be present. Certain personal attacks, one anonymous and libellous, have been made on Mr. Champion, and the Parks Committee will investigate these.
