CONCERT AT HUNTLY

From Our Own Correspondent HUNTLY, Friday. A most successful concert and talkie entertainment in aid of the sports fund of the local school was held here last evening, when Mr. George Calder, of the Lyceum Theatre, placed liis hall at the disposal oL’ the Schools association. The attendance was a record one, Mr. George Smith, chairman of the school committee, thanked Mr. Calder for his generosity in furthering a most laudable object. Mr. Charles Scott, headmaster, and members of the teaching staff are entitled to much praise for arranging the first half of the evening’s entertainment. which was given by the children. The second half was a selected programme of talkies.
