TE AWAMUTU AERO CLUB
Frorn Our Own Correspondent TE AWAMUTU, Friday. Mr. C. G. Downes presided at the regular monthly meeting of the Te Awamutu Aero Club on Thursday. Owing to the difficulty in attending meetings. Mr. W. MacKenzie offered his resignation as a vice-president. It was agreed to ask him to withdraw his resignation and to state that attendance at all meetings will not be necessary A good deal of improvement work has been carried out at the Green Hill landing ground and with a further day’s work by the working bee will make the ground suitable for safe landing during any wind. It was agreed to seek further information on the subject of gliders and gliding as a pastime, the club not being flancially strong enough jet to purchase an airplane.
