ARBITRATION COURT
FiXTURES MADE FOR AUCKLAND SITTING BIG LIST OF BUSINESS .Fixtures for a big list of business were made by the Arbitration Court today, when it commenced its sitting in Auckland. Air. Justice Frazer presided, with him Air. W. Cecil Prime, employers’ representative, and Mr. A. L. Alonteith, employees’ representative. The business is expected to occupy the court here until July 30, and the following day the court will sit in Hamilton. Satisfaction was expressed by his Honour during the making of fixtures that agreements liad been reached in several industrial disputes. He declared it was a good sign. The list of fixtures is as under: Friday, July 4: Application for interpretation of Kngineers’ Award. Saturday, Jul}* 5: Application to strike out party from Alotor Alechanics’ Award. Tuesday, July 8: Ironmongery dispute; Cook and Stewards’ Award interpretation. Wednesday, July 9: Compensation case, W. H. Whiting v. S. S. and A. Coy., Ltd.; Thus. Costello v. LT.S.S. Coy., Ltd.; Herbert Saunders v. Robert H. Allan; Edwin R. Young v. the King; Archibald Wallace Young v Nearing and Coy., Ltd. Friday, July 11: Nielson v. Bear; butchers’ applications. Saturday, July 12: Printing Apprenticeship appeal. Alonday, July 14: Typographical dispute; Sidney Hara v. Challenge Phosphate Coy., Ltd.: William H. Has-well v. “William Whittaker. Wednesday, July 16: Wehi Rahipere v. National Timber Coj’., Ltd. Thursday, July 17: Neville v. Buckland and Sons; Chas. il. Wilson v King. Friday, July IS: James Alacken v. u.S.S. Coy., Ltd.; J. Gosling v. U.S.S. Coy., Ltd. Monday, July 21: L. F. St.C. D’Almeida v. Northern S.S. Coy., Ltd.coach workers’ dispute. Tuesday, July 22: Maurice Austin Alason v. Henry T. Read; caretakers’ and liftmen’s dispute. Wednesday, July 23: Jeffs v. Wiluam Thomas. Thursday, July 24: Inspector of Awards v. John Court, Ltd.; furnitur.e trade dispute; Gunn v. Sanders. Friday, July 25: Engineering appeals and apprenticeship matters. Alonday, July 2S: Plumbers’ applications. Tuesday and Wednesday, July 29 and 30: Compensation cases.
