REWA LISTING OVER

LYING AT 45-DEGREE ANGLE The Rewa has taken a list to pert of about 45 degrees. The old four-masted barque war towed out from the harbour last Sat urday morning and placed in an upright position on the beach at Motu rekareka Island, near Kawau, there to serve as a breakwater.

While the small Northern Company’s steamer Omaua was passing the island at about one o’clock yesterday afternoon on her way back tc Auckland from Matakana, it was noticed that the stranded vessel had taken on a considerable list to port, estimated to be about 45 degrees. The cause, or the remedial steps being taken by her new owner, Mr. C P. Hanson, are not known.
