INCREASE ON LAST WEEK DECREASE IN AUCKLAND From Our Resident Reporter WELLINGTON. Thursday. The unemployed registered in New Zealand during the week ended June 30 totalled 5,491, according to a summary issued by the Minister of Labour, the Hon. S. G. Smith. This is an increase of 43 over the previous week Of last week’s registrations at labour bureaux and post offices 3,004 were stated to have dependants and 2,487 were without. Particulars of the week’s regisl|ations are:—Auckland: With dependants, 811; without dependants, 706. Wellington: 38S and 298. Christchurch: 477 and 391. Hunedin: 188 and 120. Invercargill: 77 and G 9. The totals for the five centres, with the figures for the previous week in parentheses, are as follow:—Auckland. 1.517 (1,524); Wellington. 68S (680): Christchurch, 86S (915); Hunedin, 308 (273); Invercargill. 146 (141).
