AUSTRALIANS’ RECOVERY IN GAME WITH INDIANS ASHTONS IN TOP FORM Reed. 1.30 p.m. LONDON, Thurs. In the course of an India garden party at Hurlingham a polo match was played between teams representing India and Australia. The Indian side’s handicap totalled 30 points and Ashtons’, of Goulburn, 24. but the sides played level. The Australians started shakily, and the Indians at half-time were leading by 3 goals to 1. After that J. H. Ashton pulled his side together, their polo team work being admirable. Kenneth Ashton showed excellent form and scored twice very cleverly. The scores were twice levelled by the fifth chukker. Then, in a rousing effort, both J. H. and Kenneth Ashton scored.
