"THE THREE GODFATHERS” Scenes of “The Three Godfathers,” Universal’s stirring all-talking drama now at the Plaza Theatre, were filmed in their authentic locations, the company spending six weeks in the great Mojave desert at the height of the summer season. Often the actors worked with teh temperature more than 120 degrees. From tomorrow the Plaza will present an entirely new talkie programme headed by “Undertow.” a new and thrilling talkie drama, starring Mary Xolan. “The Lost Zeppelin” will also be screened at the Plaza from tomorrow. SUBURBAN THEATRES The Crystal Palace Theatre Mount Eden. Is showing “The 13th Chair,” the all-talking mystery thriller. The Empress Theatre. Xewton is showing "It’s a Great Life,” a gay backstage story, starring the Duncan Sisters, also Laurel and Hardy in “The Hoose Gow.” The West End Theatre, Ponsonbv Road, the Regent Theatre, Epsom and the Alexandra Theatre, Green Lane are all showing the brilliant English comedy talkie, “Splinters,” dealing ■with a wartime revue show. At all three theatres full supporting programmes will also be shown The De Luxe Theatre, Mount Albert Terminus, is showing “The Love Parade. Maurice Chevalier’s latest singing screen operetta.
