COMMUNITY SING
CLEM DAWE PRESENT “It’s little Clemmy,” said Clem Dawe—for the one million and twentyfourth time in his career—as he stepped blithely on to the stage at the community sing i nthe Town Hall yesterday. The Town Hall was packed. Xeariy 2,000 voices left their respective owners and crashed out as one to the song-leading of Mr. Vernon Drew. On the platform beside Mr. Dawe and Mr. Drew were other members of the “Love Lies” company. Mr. John Farrell, of His Majesty's Theatre, and Mr. W. Woodhead. Mrs. Barrington Snow played the piano. Clem Dawe sang “I Lift L T p My Finger,” and later roused the assembly to sing it with him. Some of the numbers given were: “The Cheer Germ,” "Oh, Dem Golden Slippers,” “Kentucky Home,” "Misery Farm” (with some gusto, and accompanied by Mr. Dawe). “All By Tourself,” “Irish Eyes,” “Tiptoe Through the Tulips,” and “Peggy O’Xeil.”
